Merry Christmas, Movie House!

'Yah yah yah/yah yah yah/yah yah yah ya-yah!'

Hey all, the Yuletide is around the corner and in the tradition of my previous Halloween movie viewing blog ( -, I’ve compiled this list of Christmas-themed movies. Now, some of you aren’t into the Christmas spirit I know, but being in it as I am, I’ve included you in my thoughts.

There are a sleigh-load of frankly, kick-ass movies that may not address the holidays directly but nonetheless take place during the Christmas season, so I’ll start with those…

Lethal Weapon'Ho ho.....ho.'
Die Hard/Die Hard 2
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Rocky IV

Here’s a couple of my favorite Christmas comedies –

A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
Planes Trains And Automobiles

Ralphie: 'I wanna direct Couples Retreat.' Santa: 'You'll shoot your eye out, kid.'

And the old stand-bys –

Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
A Charlie Brown Christmas
It’s A Wonderful Life
A Christmas Carol (the one with George C. Scott is my personal favorite)
Frosty The Snowman
Santa Claus In Comin’ To Town
How The Grinch Stole Christmas
The Little Drummer Boy
Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

The Star Wars Holiday Special

No two words say Merry Christmas (uh...besides 'Merry Christmas') more than 'Rankin and Bass.'

Rudolph’s Shiny New Year
The Fourth Wise Man (Martin Sheen gets lost on the way to the nativity)

‘No bastard ever hadda good Christmas buyin’ his own turkey. You gotta buy the other poor bastard a turkey!’

Hey everybody, enjoy your holidays, whatever they may be. But remember if it’s Christmas, don’t forget the ‘Christ.’
